Reasons for the online course:

·       Efficient- complete the course on your own time, in your own way.

·       Affordable- only $79.99 for 6 hours of approved training!

·       Convenient- you can use most electronic devices to view and complete the course.

·       Easy- after completing the course, the certificate of completion is directly emailed to you.

·       Personal- purchase your CEU's from a fellow therapist and counselor working in the field, rather than a big corporation.

·       Support- unlike the big corporations and other sites, you can reach me easily should you have any questions or concerns.

My experience with Mr. Bierds was very pleasant. Not only did he provide assistance with obtaining LSOTP CEUs, he provided me with resources to assist me with getting additional CEUs. He is a very kind and understanding person. I will definitely be keeping in contact with him.

Workbooks for Sale

Looking for aftercare and/or supplemental material to offer clients in sexual offender treatment programs?  The following workbooks were designed specifically to enhance the life skills of current clients by taking a "good life" approach to treatment.

Once a client has completed his/her core workbook addressing offense behavior and corrective coping skills, it is my belief we should then help clients transition into finding ways to live a healthier, offense-free lifestyle.

“It’s simply not enough to know what NOT to do. We must teach and learn what we SHOULD do.”

These books are geared towards skill and asset development: helping your clients find ways to live a productive life, and develop the skills to remain offense-free.  The workbooks focus on areas such as:

·       Goal Development

·       Developing Healthy Relationships

·       Emotional Regulation

·       Finances

·       Coping with High-Risk Situations

·       Developing Honesty

·       Plus many other extremely beneficial topics

The workbooks are designed to engage clients in weekly assignments that can be presented either in individual or group treatment settings.  These assignments can also be used in conjunction with your current core workbook.  I think you will find the assignments to be insightful, helpful, and beneficial for your clients.

Moving Forward is specifically designed as a supplemental curriculum to help youth that have sexually acted out transition into more responsible, healthy living. Goal setting, avoiding/coping with high risk situations, developing better friends and social supports, emotional regulation, and increasing self esteem are some of the areas addressed in the workbook. This book is recommended for youth that are currently in aftercare treatment, but can also be extremely beneficial as supplemental exercises for clients who are currently in weekly treatment. The goal of this workbook is to focus on the STRENGTHS of the client, and helping the youth develop a healthy, offense-free lifestyle once treatment and supervision have ended.

Change is difficult, yet can be very rewarding. This book addresses the transitional process from direct sex offender treatment (SOTP), to Maintenance and/or Aftercare. The curriculum is designed using Strengths-Based concepts to engage readers in developing a healthier lifestyle. Assignments are provided throughout the book that challenge readers to build a "Lifestyle Paragon", and create a plan for healthy living while making the transition to less restrictive environments. Ultimately, once supervision ends, the concepts in this book will help all readers develop strategies and skills to remain offense free and build a healthy lifestyle.
